If You Love Your Daughter

If you love your daughter, then join the fight
The fight to make her future bright
If you love your daughter then spare no might
To make her a social citizen with full right

Don’t just sit there and hope for a change
The world will endeavor to keep her strange
Don’t trust the laws, they only arrange
Those whom your daughter’s rights derange

Don’t tell me you love your daughter
When you don’t care for her mother
Don’t tell me you love your daughter
When you teach your son to be like his father

If you love your daughter, then join the fight
The fight to amend her plight
If you love your daughter then let her take a flight
A flight to the heights beyond the moonlight

What do you say about violence against women?
What do you do to prevent their living in a dungeon?
What do you say when women are bitterly beaten?
What do you do when your daughter’s heart is broken?

Do you tell your son a woman is a mother, a wife, a daughter?
Do you tell him he would never have survived without his mother?
Do you show him by your own examples that a woman is not a server?
Do you show him by your own treatments how best to treat a lover?

If you love your daughter, then join the fight
The fight to make her future bright
If you love your daughter then spare no might
To make her a social citizen with full right
