This could only have been written by someone who spends time trying to justify perpetuating religious myths which like the celebration of Halloween have no redeeming value. Anyone who can say they remember learning from Halloween to fear more than razor blades in apples has a better memory than I. Fear is instinctive. Fear of "the void", the perceived emptiness in life, is fundamental. Meaningless myths are attempts to "fill the void" that replace the "ideal reaction" to it.
