1) I was walking around the mall, listening to the long version of the podcast (multitasking, I suppose) when Richard Davidson described his photo of Mathieu Ricard with laptop open, on the phone with an open book nearby. I laughed embarrassingly loudly. Is there any chance you could talk Dr. Davidson into sharing this treasure with us online?2) I think Krista may be underestimating the extent to which Buddhism emphasizes embodiment. The mind in the Buddha's time was thought to reside in the chest--and is almost synonymous with the heart. Mindfulness is very much about being in touch with one's body and senses. My understanding of the mind is that there is no sharp division between mind and body (or even mind and the "external" world) in Buddhist practice.
Thanks for this wonderful program!
