Maybe some prominent Jewish scholars out there would like to research christian Jewish people in Jamaica. In my church (north street congregational) in Kingston, there were dozens of Jewish families (at the time I didn't know they were, just thought they were white). We looked up to them as they were the pillars of the church. They were deacons and deaconesses and set a kind and friendly tone in the church, always helping the poor. I am not sure why they were Christians but I was later told that many of their ancestors came to Jamaica in the 16th century to escape the Spanish inquisition. I have fond memories of my childhood church and Sunday school due in part to these kind souls. I should mention that I am now quite old.
