Gina, thanks for offering this critique, but I disagree. To say that the "book had some import issues" seems rather euphemistic. The author is Arab Israeli; the text is a seminal Jewish work produced at Ben-Gurion University in Israel under the direction of a Professor Lasker, and printed in Beirut, Lebanon. Effectively, the book was banned and only later approved six months later after some pressure. Nevertheless, this important Jewish tome can now be read by Arabic-reading people to offer a richer understanding of Jewish philosophy, tradition, and history!
