Annie Dillard didn't write it, but her volume of found poems--which take fragments of words from various sources that aren't intended as poetry--apparently sparked the idea of putting this together. The blogger was inspired by listening to Krista Tippett's interview with Marie Howe, and sort of collaged together fragments of Marie Howe's words from the interview into this poem. So even though Marie Howe didn't write it, many of the ideas are certainly hers. The difference between Annie Dillard's found poems and this one is that Dillard tried to make a vastly new meaning out of the fragments, whereas this writer tried to stick to the themes and original ideas of the words in the interview and build on it.
