I am a follower of Thich Nhat Hanh in my meditation practice, still I was startled by this title "On Gratitude: All is A Miracle." Last year I survived a near-fatal heart attack - one in a hundred my cardiologist says - during which I spent some time in the border lands to the great beyond. When I came back, lying in the ICU all I could do was think and talk about how life is just miracles layered on miracles - from the level of quarks to the entire cosmos itself - and how wonderful it is to be a part of it. My biggest challenge now is not to get bogged down in my own special time-honored and well-worn habitual ways of being cranky. You can't go where I have been and see any sense in it at all to expend time, attention, and energy that way. Thanks for giving your audience a chance to hear the great wisdom of Brother Thay.
