TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual event that brings together leading thinkers based on a common topic. Here, you can watch Majora Carter's 2006 presentation explaining her commitment to environmental justice and her vision for a renewed South Bronx.
The WWW home of Cal DeWitt's rural town just south of Madison, Wisconsin. You can get a glimpse into what life is like by viewing photos and maps of protected lands. But, at the working detail level, you can see the intentional planning that takes place by viewing budgets, land use services, smart growth plans, as well as embedded sustainability practices. The Sierra Club provides a comprehensive bookshelf of online texts of John Muir's classic works, including Travels in Alaska, which Calvin DeWitt points out contains beautiful religious language while Muir stands at the foot of a glacier.

Voices on the Radio
Carter is founder and executive director of Sustainable South Bronx. She was awarded a MacArthur "genius grant" in 2005.
DeWitt is a professor at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His books include Earth-Wise: A Biblical Response to Environmental Issues.
