Launched in 2004, the project began as a touring photographic exhibition called "The F Word: Images of Forgiveness." It included local, national, and international stories of reconciliation: "The stories of people who have discovered that the only way to move on in life, is to lay aside hatred and blame." They now operate a Speakers Bureau of story protagonists and workshops that serve as a catalyst for offender rehabilitation in prisons.
The group's projects range from reconciliation blogs and summer camps for children of bereaved families, to a toll-free telephone service to facilitate a new conversation between Israelis and Palestinians. "Large numbers of Arabs and Jews are picking up the phone and talking to people 'on the other side' about reconciliation, tolerance and peace." Nearly a million calls have been placed since the project started in 2002. The Web site is tri-lingual.
Just Vision was formed in 2003 to create a comprehensive resource of civilian-led peace efforts between Palestinians and Israelis. Their Web site features online portraits (in-depth interviews) of nearly 200 Israeli and Palestinian citizens working toward peace that worth taking a look at.
